the other day we took a little road trip to visit our friends Tom & Petra and their children… Mattias grew up as neighbors to Tom… great friends… something about great friends.. you can go a year without seeing eachother and pick up where you last left… that’s when you know a true friendship. before we had kids we met Tom & Petra one summer at 12 noon I think on a Weds. under the Eiffel Tower in Paris and drove through the countryside all the way to Petra’s home of Czech Republic and even through Poland… it was amazing and so fun!
they just had a new cutie pie, Alexander… oh his smile melted my heart… such a snuggle bug! and Cecilia thought he was quite something too 🙂
a nice large open garden is always a fun time! summertime and big backyards kids running, kiddie pools… ahhh such fun!
Isabelle and Fredrik are great pals… skipping and running and giggling away… it was really funny, Fredrik’s mamma is from Czech Republic and speaks Czech to her son… well Isabelle understands fully Swedish but speaks a lot in English with a tad Swedish here and there… so this little boy noticed that Isabelle was not speaking Swedish to him… so he then began to speak Czech to her… and funny thing… they both understood eachother… 3 languages spoken at once.. even Isabelle began to count in Czech… it’s so cool how children, little sponges, have such a brilliant way of openly taking things in… to an adult maybe we would close a language down if we noticed it not being our own… but kids openly take it in, even if they do not understand it at first… but eventually they figure it out. it’s a little bit like children not having a fear… I remember my first time skiing was when I was maybe in my early twenties… I was shaking in my ski boots as I began to go down the bunny hill… then I looked around and children not even hardly walking were zoooooming by me… giggling.. looking ahead… skis not pointed inward… just like pros… it’s because they are open and have no fear or embarrassment towards something new that they do not know…. what do you guys think?
