we are so so so lucky for the weather we are having just now in Sweden… I keep crossing fingers that it lasts and it amazingly has… a cool breeze and a blue sky and then… just as the light starts to get misty… ooooooh ooooooh does the light ever get dreamy… and yes, I have to get my camera and capture it. it’s amazing… nothing like some wild flowers in some wheat grassy hills… the sun has a way sometimes to just dust the flowers with this dewy glowey yummy light…. mmmm!
The other day we were having lunch at a sweet little restaurant in town… It’s a brewery with such delicious food… Pappa Mattias used to work there when we lived in Sweden… I would visit it often for sure! well… while eating, there is this courtyard with cobble stones, bumps, tables, chairs, trees… and in there is where you have lunch… it’s hidden from the main road so you go through a tunnel type ting and there you are in this oasis of a place… it’s gorgeous and old and charming just like most things here… sooooo… after our children ate they started to play around while we finished our food… running, playing tag, chasing… lots of running… and let me tell you, the cobble stones were quite tricky for baby Cecilia… but she made it… a couple of bumps but she made it… while the running was going on and exploring … I noticed this man laughing and smiling and watching our girls play… he was thoroughly enjoying his lunch and beer as he watched the children play… then… he came over to us… and excused himself for a minute… and asked if he could share something with us… of course we said… He said that there have been studies of children which are very young and aloud to run and walk about with soft shoes to feel the ground and the textures are often very intelligent kids… he said it’s so good as they learn to walk to be able to freely… he was very happy to see our young girls walking and running instead of strapped in a stroller… wow, what a compliment we thought… we always let our girls walk… as much as they can… in good shoes! I feel it’s the most important thing… to be able to be free… ok so they don’t like to be strapped down in carts hardly, or in strollers, but the good part is … it’s good for them! so it was nice that this man observed this and complimented us on so.. we felt very good about ourselves.. and still do… 🙂
so as these glowey golden glowers and grasses blow with the breezes… so does my heart to know that our girls are running free and their minds are happy… weeeeeeeeeee!!!
