mmmm the smells of a Swedish summer… most of the times when I smell or taste fresh dill I think of a Swedish summer… but another thing is herring… fried herring… pickled herring… it’s all so so good! My mother-in-law Lotta (Farmor) makes the best fried herring ever! wow, the house is full of such lovely smells… our bellies rumble as we wait wait wait… and then… there it is! yes! even our little ones gobble this up!
and there it is! Fried herring served with potatoes… lingonberries… and big capers!
