there is such a happy hint of fall… after quite a hot summer… humid.. sweaty… it feels amazing these days. Our a.c. is officially OFF!!! I can hear the birds again… nothing like walking into our girl’s room in the morning as they’re waking up… opening the curtains… and seeing their happy faces as they say, “mamma… listen to the birds!” our youngest pointing so excited with her paci falling out of her mouth! I love the fall… I think we love it so much in Florida because it’s our turn to be free of the heat and spend our days outside…. welcome!
to celebrate we have been taking lots of walks! the other day we walked to our neighborhood park… lots of ducks… a big pond… even a playground! we love the walk there… so many things to spy… we brought a basket to collect fall things… acorns, leaves, feathers… all for our fall table!
she just loves these binoculars… I get a little bit weepy when she uses them… they were my Grandfather’s and I remember he would always use them and let me have a turn… he past away a few years ago… now it’s quite sweet to see her using them….

the crepe myrtle trees are all in bloom now… lovely!
hiding under the oak trees as the children play on the playground… the cool breezes and the sounds of the leaves rustling is a perfect place for me…. I love this time of year
