I am terribly behind on blogging… the holidays have our photography business completely swamped!!! any free time I possibly have I scoop up my little cuties and hold them oh so tight! we have been spending lots of time together as a family lately even though we have done maybe 30 shoots in the past 3 weeks! life is good though… I am thrilled that our biz is turning out to be such a success and I am quite proud that we have been able to manage it all and be able to put our feet up at the end of the day and watch a movie with the glowy Christmas tree and have a glass of wine!
this post takes us back all the way to October! our sweet friends that we miss dearly visited from Maui, Hawaii! not a bad place to live right! They used to live down the street from us… Katie and I went to school together… we have been family best friends… sharing New Years together… making pizzas.. tart tatins… in eachother’s weddings.. camping trips.. I was there when their son was born…! .. what I am trying to say here is… I MISS THEM BAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We share passions together… we taste every morsel together… sip wine together… dream together.. cry together… watch our children play together… and as they were here I found myself not missing a beat… I love friendships where they never skip a beat… it’s like they are alive and the dust never settles it just lets the wind blow over it and smiles and kisses the day again! even though there is a huge chunk of planet between us and a Pacific Ocean… I never feel as though we are far apart…
The pic above is of a gift from them… a Himalayan salt block… we thinly sliced wild fresh salmon and placed it on the block for minutes it was amazing!!!
