This year we were unable to go to Sweden since by the time we were set to purchase tickets they were close to $6000 for all of us… had a hard time stomaching that… uffff!
So we decided to have a slow relaxing summer with a little road trip… and my gosh am I ever glad we did… can we ever make some fun memories!
This year we headed to the mountains and got our camping on!!!
It was absolutely amazing in so many ways!
Being together in a forest with nothing protecting us but our love, family, and a little tiny tent…
it can really make you find yourself in a funny hikey kind of way!
when booking our campsite I wanted the farthest site from anyone!
I wanted to only hear the crickets… and be surrounded by a forest right in the heart of mother nature…
and wow were we ever!
all the way down the edge of a mountain.. ya, that should do it!
sitting on camp chairs with our girls on our laps… looking up into the forest at things like this… ya… beautiful!
we made most of our food… by the fire.
being totally in nature figuring out things without electricity can make one nervous… scared… for me… I felt powerful!
even when I heard bear noises…
to see your little girl play in a creek… so quietly and at peace in nature… I don’t know really what to say…
but who needs things… when you have each other… some huckleberries… and some twigs…
trails leading us to things like waterfalls… sliding rocks… rivers… mountains… you feel so small and so connecting to the rythmes of our Earth
