my mother passed down this pottery love to me…
I always love it too now!
and when you pass by something like this on the country roads you have to stop! and buy lots of pottery!
a nice beer break was in order! we were tired and hot and we just spent an hour in a toy store, like a 2 story one…
so beer was needed… fast!
and wow… a local brew was delightful!
clowns!
when there is a square dance fest on Main Street… it’s a sign to get dancing! We dosie doed with the best of them! You can’t hold back when you have kids… you have to dance… even if it means in the middle of Main Street in front of strangers you don’t know… but teaching my girls that having fun means being free… just feels right!
dang… a wig shop in Ashville… you had me at pink bob!
as an artist… I fell in love with Ashville… truly!
It was so cool! an artist colony in this gem was fantastic! We met so many amazing artists that opened their galleries up to us like we were old friends!
I loved this potter’s studio… this window I could sit by forever and ever…
glass blowing… oh my!
this could possibly be the prettiest spot for a picnic we have ever seen!!! Up on the Blue Ridge Road… we pulled over and enjoyed the view…
black berries!!!
So, yes… North Carolina was beautiful!
up next… Savannah and St. Augustine, FL!
