a day in the hay…

If I had to describe Sweden in just one word it would be Natural…
The way the Swedes are so in tune with nature is so beautiful. Homes tucked away in forests, on the coast, in little villages, countrysides. Peoples’ homes are even natural… wooden floors, clean light walls, open beams, simple decor all to compliment nature… soft colors.
Even the clothing people wear is usually soft and natural… creams, whites, grey… not a lot of make up.
People spend lots of time outdoors… especially in the summer months when the weather is good. There are always car lanes, then biking lanes, then walking lanes. everywhere. The price of gas is nearly $9 a gallon so most people bike or walk when they can… it’s so nice to not hear a lot of traffic or smell exhaust. Just listening to kids playing outside or birds chirping or bees buzzing…
This is the way we like to live as well… outside… in fresh air… grass stains… wind blown hair.
We found this open field with big hay rolls all over the place… what a fun place to run… and have a picnic…
This summer has been full of natural days…
