I saw a caterpillar again…

Like a lot of you I have had some time on my hands lately… a lot right! I have relaxed, cleaned, panicked, cried, and washed my hands! I have worried a lot… yes about my family catching the Corona Virus… but also about the future. I have so many dreams and wishes for my family… I start to feel sad and it spirals into fear and then I can’t breathe and I just hate it! Does anyone else start to feel like this?
I decided yesterday to start writing and blogging again… a lot of time on my hands… filling the days with meaning instead of checking facebook and getting angry… I asked the universe in a parking lot of some grocery store on a hunt to find toilet paper… “What are we going to do!!!?” and there was a caterpillar AND a butterfly! and I knew it… it’s time!
I hope to fill your days with positivity and ways to bring meaning and love into your homes!
We are all home just now… some feel trapped, I am sure, but maybe you can try to find the beauty in just that. Do you ever wonder if there is a little silver lining that maybe this could be good for people? Taking a moment out of their busy lives to reconnect with their children, their family, their friends, themselves. I haven’t had a second to actually look at myself in the mirror in probably months… yes I look at myself as I swipe on the mascara or brush my teeth but actually look …like really look! I got a new freckle and I didn’t notice but my eyes change color from day to day… who knew!
I like to think this was all meant to be… just as the universe always falls into place… I really believe this too will.

So on my diving into myself a day ago in the parking lot I just decided to limit my phone time… because 6 hours on the phone is way TOO damn much time! I could be speaking 3 languages by now! or playing piano! I stopped looking at facebook but only just a bit at certain times and I drove to a sweet little farm stand in our little Amish/Mennonite village. I started to feel better about life and the future just by smelling strawberries! I bought a whole flat of the juiciest berries I have ever had and a cute basket of green beans just picked that day as well! a Florida sweet onion and some warm from the sun tomatoes! I went home to my family with a load of goodness that made me happy as well as them!
In these days of slowing down and not too many outside things to do I find the littlest things making me happy! Maybe because just now we all have time to notice…

Stop back tomorrow and I can show you our day of planting a bunch of seeds for our future veggie garden box!

xoxo
