I mean seriously… had such a blast at
Cecilia’s 3rd Birthday Party!!!
We try to keep it way different than Christmas as her birthday is on the 19th… eeeek… totally didn’t plan that one well…
BUT…
I am so damn glad that her birthday is when it is!
I love a Christmas Baby!!!
Best Present EVER!
and seriously would the lady at the grocery please rethink the comment of “That’s SO mean to do to your child!”
like really….
We love that our girl’s birthday is in December … heck it could be on Christmas Day and we would still make it super special!
this girl’s never going to tell stories of how awful it was having a birthday around Christmas… nope!
that’s one happy Birthday Girl!
and a happy Pappa!
yes, Mai Tais… yes a Luau!
and gosh, it was so much fun!
some of our great friends live out in Maui, Hawaii… so we have learned soooooo much about Hawaii through them…
with hopes to one day visit!
but until then we love little surprise packages that feel like Hawaii!
We used so many things from them to decorate… and try to make it feel like they were here too!
thank you Mama for the best ever idea… Hula Hoops for parting gifts!
my brother came early to help with fruit sculptures!
my silly dad!
birthdays are about making someone feel special…loved…
no matter when someone’s birthday is…
make them feel special… I love birthdays, anyone’s! people I don’t even know… tell me it’s your birthday and I will make it special!
I remember every birthday of mine! I have never dreaded a year nor will I ever… they are happy… it’s when you were born!
this little friend always makes Cecilia feel special…
and then…
be still my heart…
there was ballet!
Cecilia has been doing ballet for a few months now… we wanted to put her in something fun once a week that only she would do…
a lot of the times she follows in her big sister’s footsteps.
so to be by herself walking across the stage of the Nutcracker Winter performance… well I choked back tears and tried not to sniffle.
It was so beautiful in so many ways!
she was so proud as were we.
I stood on the side of the stage to help her off… little did I know I may have needed someone to help me… my heart was pounding!
back in the audience big sister was proudly watching and clapping her heart out!
saying, “Hi Cecilia… it’s me Isabelle!”
love!
