nice and slow baking days make me pretty happy!
the house smells amazing and there is always plenty of coffee…
Whenever we make Swedish cinnamon buns I am always reminded of this one morning…
this may be a bit much…
but oh well I must confess…
I loooove to walk around the little village that Pappa Mattias is from when we visit Sweden in the summers… it’s in the way south of Sweden and is a beach town. so summers are quite busy!
and quite beautiful!
I love to wake early and go for a walk before the town wakes up! even though the summer the sun comes up about 3am the people don’t wake until morning normal time. but the light is there!
so I roam around getting lost getting found… remembering my favorite nooks… my favorite window displays in shop windows… but then… I really love peeking in home’s windows… to see how they live, how they fix breakfast, how they decorate!… seriously thought this sweet town has home’s windows right on the sidewalk! I can’t help but peek!
Well this one morning early early I was walking and walking and myyyyy gosh the smell from this one home was so amazing! I circled around again and again trying to peek to see what the hell they were cooking so I could come back and tell Mattias we MUST MAKE THIs!
well…. the sweet old woman popped her head up and showed me the cinnamon buns that she just pulled out of the oven!
my face may have turned beet red… but at least I knew!
such a funny morning!
bunk beds!
working a little on beginning math…
we use tomatos to add and subtract!
we had a little open house at the studio and this cool fiddle guy stopped to play for the girls! lovely!
Valentines!
