our little baby girl turned six!

does anyone else get that heavy lump in their throat the night before your children turn the next age…
that feeling like… I just want to sit by their bed and watch them grow before I blink feeling!
in the morning they always seem taller…older…wiser!
they tear through packages giddy and smiley!
but you just stare in awe… trying so hard to catch a glimpse of when they were little kind of look… that smile, that crinkly nose… just wait for it… ah there it is! that’s just what she looked like when she was 8 months!
How can so long ago feel like it was yesterday!

How can so many memories and moments feel so present and clear!
How can we remember so much!
We spent the morning snuggly in bed all cozy as a family!
then we surprised her with a plan to go to the neighborhood POOL!
boy, was she ready!!!
every year I photograph her in this dress…
my dress..
one day she will grow into it… but for now I love how it looks!
It will be fun to see the different years how much she changes…
we celebrated by going to her favorite restaurant

although we cannot freeze time… nor would I ever want to..
what we can do is LIVE IT! EACH YEAR! CELEBRATE!
watch our kids grow!
and be happy about how much they change but are still the same!
