Kids parties… one of the pleasures of having kids!

remember my birthday parties when I was a kid!
the way my parents would make me feel extra special!
the children would sing! games! cake!
what fun memories!
the happiness when friends arrived!
to see my memories on my girl’s faces again and again…
it’s beautiful!
such a sweet present from my parents! my dad built this cool outdoor chalkboard! it’s so fun to play outside teacher now!
the same old games that we would play… still played again!
I remember my mom spinning me around and around blindfolded to play pin-the-tail on the donkey!
and here I am spinning kids, putting eggs on spoons!
cheering for children that love my kids!
seeing them happy at a party… a party that they felt special… magic… a party they may never forget!
to see our own kids smiles and hear their excitement!
when I said good-night to Isabelle this night… I whispered Happy Birthday Darling…
she whispered “thank you mamma for such a nice day!”
she gets it! she loves the fun too!
Now that she is old enough she helps set up for parties!
a lot of things I just gulp it down and love the tangles of crepe paper! the balloons hung ever so strangely yet perfectly right!
I love how she likes to prepare for a party now!
and I love how she puts her heart into it!… just like I do!
the next day was a nice quiet day…
school was in session and Cecilia and I spent the day mopping…
